LOOKING AHEAD TO NEW CHALLENGES
At the start of the new school year teachers are faced with new challenges and perspectives regarding issues of pedagogy, the use of technology and professional development. TEUM is thus organising this one-day seminar to provide assistance to our friends and members by bringing together field experts.

“What is teacher development? Why should English language teachers invest in their own professional development? And how can teachers develop professionally in the 21st century? After reviewing the personal and professional benefits of teacher development practices, this presentation will demonstrate different ways in which teachers can implement these practices using, among others, social network tools, the internet and other types of networking. At the same time, the presentation will offer a number of practical ideas for involving learners in the process, so that they, too, take responsibility for their own development together with their teachers.”(George Vassilakis)
