World Environment Day 2011

The World Environment Day is celebrated every year on June 05. In the classroom we can use it as a stimulus for language practice as well as to raise awareness on related issues.
Have a look at this animated video about Forests (excellent for intermediate and upper-intermediate classes), narrated by David Attenborough, (famous BBC broadcaster and naturalist).

For further information and actions that can be taken on occasion of this day
visit http://www.unep.org/wed/

In case you use any of this or any other material in any way, please share your experience with us and send any activities, lesson plans and feedback to be published on the blog.

Cultural and Educational Films and Photos

An excellent resource of films and photos on a wide range of topics to be used in the language classroom.
Why not try to produce lesson plans based on a selection of these materials?
Especially for high school classes which lack audio-visual supplement.
